The Next Generation: Post 6

http://herocomplex.latimes.com/games/microsoft-to-unveil-next-gen-xbox-on-may-21/
Since I was little I have enjoyed playing many different types of video games. As I’ve gotten older I stuck with Microsoft and the games that they release. The console that I have is the Xbox 360 and this system was first released in November of 2005. While I love the Xbox 360 I really want something new. After many years of waiting Microsoft has finally announced its next generation system.

Another "Copycat movie": Post 5

In the article ‘Oblivion’ and the Copycat Accusations by Bill Gibron, he talks to us about how movie critics are starting to get lazy with their criticisms with movies. Many critics and viewers are quick to jump to conclusions and say that some movies are unoriginal or just a rip off of another movie. Sure these people may have seen many films of the same genre, but that doesn’t mean that the movie doesn’t have its own unique characteristics.

Pixar Going Commercial? Post 4

It goes without saying that one of the greatest film companies of all time is Pixar. This company has created many spectacular animated films such as Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, Toy Story and many more. After reading the article “Pixar: Perfectionists…or Panderers” by Bill Gibron it seems that many people are losing faith in this beloved movie company. Pixar once again has chosen to go back and create a sequel to the fan favorite known as Finding Nemo. The new movie that is to be called “Finding Dory” is set to be released in 2015, but many fans of the company are wondering whether Pixar is trying to be creative or if they are just being more commercial.

Pop Culture Journal 1

In my opinion one of the most important scenes in “The Social Network” was when Eduardo found out that Mark fooled him into signing papers that dropped his ownership in the company to 0.03 percent. Eduardo comes back to California to sign some more papers and when he gets there he finds out that all his shares of the company have been transferred to other people within the company. He yells at Mark and threatens that he will be back with lawyers to sue him for all the company is worth. The reason I believe that this scene is so important is because it not only shows a way for Mark to gain more ownership in the company, but it also shows that he will put the company first before his best friend. Mark chose Sean as a business partner over Eduardo who was his best friend and in the end Sean managed to cause a great deal of trouble for Mark because he got caught with drugs at a party. This scene also shows Mark’s jealousy towards others who get something that he wants. Earlier in the movie Eduardo got accepted into the Phoenix Club and this made Mark very jealous and deep down has been holding that against Eduardo because Mark was never accepted. This scene is one of the most important parts of the movie because it doesn’t only explain why Mark is getting sued, but it also shows what Mark is willing to do to get ahead. The scene lasts from 1:41:08-1:47:08.
